The Gathering Place was a temporary construction designed and built by Gareth Hoskins Architects for the Venice Architecture Biennale 2008. Envisaged as giant series of steps for visitors to rest and contemplate the views of the canals it also contained an exhibition and presentation space within, host to a series of talks by architects including Zaha Hadid.

ISO created the project identity which was used physically on the structure on the print and promotional materials and in a series of motion sequences used in the exhibition space.

Posters, handbills and booklets were the main distribution materials in Venice. The graphics were developed from the object drawings and the idea of a series of individual panels being brought together temporarily to create The Gathering Space, before relocating and the structure disappearing.
