Concept and design of the title sequence and in-programme animations were completed by ISO with additional character animation by Will Anderson. The visual approach takes it cue from the ideas found in The Chimp Paradox written by sports psychiatrist, Prof Steve Peters’.

Peters helped Hoy overcome the pressures of competing by “caging the chimp”, a term he coined for the part of the mind that triggers irrational reactions.
