Member of ISO’s go to design team Will Anderson has featured at Edinburgh International Film Festival presenting a retrospective of his work.

Together with Ainslie Henderson, the duo are the writing/directing team behind the Bafta award winning production company White Robot. This early retrospective highlighted their extraordinary talent and volume of creative output at this stage in their career.

White Robots newest work FLIT will showcase as part of multi media production next month at The Edinburgh International Festival. The work is the first visual collaboration between the pair combining stop frame and digital animation to create a visual style reflecting themes of migration. The production marries this visual element with live music from Lau’s Martin Green, Portishead’s Adrian Utley, and Mogwai’s Dominic Aitchison among others.

‘It was such a different way of thinking making animation and telling a story on a stage, opposed to a screen, like a film.  Suddenly there was loads of possibilities with scale, how things cut, where you look etc which was (still is!) an exciting challenge.’
