Congratulations to the supremely talented Brian McGinlay and Mark Bell at McGinlay Bell, winners of The DRUM’s Scottish Design Award for Best Commercial Project for our new studio in Glasgow’s Merchant City.

McGinlay Bell transformed the dilapidated building (previously used as a hairdressers, a tobacco merchant and one of Glasgow’s earliest print shops) by exposing the masonry shell and re-modelling the internal floor space into a new multi-layered arrangement with fit for purpose workstations, meeting rooms, a flexible screening space, an event and exhibition space. The three story Victorian unit now has a spacious open plan studio for our designers and developers.
