Nick Higgins and our pals at Northern Lights have just finished the open submission stage for their mass participatory feature documentary “We are Northern Lights”. The last three months has seen over 1500 submissions and 200 hours of video footage uploaded via the YouTube API-enabled site we developed with them. Now the guys are disappearing into a dark room with film editor Colin Monie (Neds, Magdalene Sisters, Hallam Foe) to pull together the final film with the premiere pencilled for the end of 2012 before it hits the road in an interactive screening format.
