    Mackintosh at the Willow

1906 saw the opening of an astonishing piece of architecture for its time. Charles Rennie Mackintosh designed a groundbreaking building and interiors for Mrs Cranston’s Tea Room empire in Glasgow. Over a hundred years later we have created a 4k centrepiece film, Mackintosh and the Making of the Willow for the new visitor centre.

Supplied with Mackintosh’s original plans and photographs of the site, we created a CGI model, showing the building and interiors he and his wife Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh designed. The rooms have been recreated showing the distinctive character and design he is famous for. It’s the finale of the centre before visitors step next door to the faithfully re-created original Willow Tea Room.

Now open to the public at 217 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow.
