The Hans Christian Andersen Museum in Odense, Denmark is now open to the public. Designed by Japanese architect, Kengo Kuma, with museum design from our friends at Event Communications, they have designed a magical new House of Fairytales concept. Event said that the museum would follow an “immersive theatre” that “taps into a fundamental aspect of fairytales – they are journeys where the line between the everyday and the transformative is blurred”.
We’ve created a series of interactive installations that play with ideas of storytelling, fantasy and surprise including Magic Mirrors which augment your reflection with costumes of Anderson characters and others where your shadows transform into fantastical characters.
There is a great case study on the Event site with more information and images https://eventcomm.com/projects/hc-andersens-house
