Bloomsbury are releasing a book on the new phenomenon of ‘Compact Cinematics’ next year and the Future Life film we created for Siemens Centre of Sustainability, ‘The Crystal’ is being featured as a chapter about the history and contemporary practice in visualisations of the city of the Future.

Written by Professor Gillian Rose of the OU, the book explores the role of layering digital skins onto Smart Cities and how visualisations of this induce a sense of vertigo in viewers because of their constantly ‘transcoded indexicality’… which we think is a compliment(?)
