The Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, home to the world’s first high speed streamlined electric train – The Zephyr – has reopened with an impressive revamped gallery space. We created a series of large panoramic films to enhance the visitor experience and bring the incredible ‘Silver Streak’ to life.
‘West Wind Vista’ is a dramatic display that runs the full 50 metre length of the train. The main sequence is an expressive interpretation of the visual style of aerodynamics, the secondary sequence looks at the visual style of art deco design and aerodynamics as an abstract form. Accompanied by a bespoke 7:1 soundscape, they reinforce the feeling of travel and movement, creating a dynamic backdrop for the impressive centrepiece of the gallery.
