New Scottish independent TV production company Freedom Scripted Entertainment, headed up by Mike Ellen, approached us to develop their branding and application for print, motion and digital. The company specialise in new writing and innovative drama for TV and multi-platform.

We looked at old typewritten drama scripts and found the aesthetics of the visual conventions, traditional formatting and geometric typewriter font effective. From there we developed a bespoke font, based on that vintage typewriter script and titled it ‘Freedom’.

For Freedom’s launch during the Edinburgh International Television Festival we created this animated ident and applied the identity to their website, social channels and print.
