    Values of Design
    The V&A have spread their wings into China, opening their first museum outside the UK. Based in a major new cultural hub in the modern city of Shenzen, the gallery exhibits a history of design to a new Chinese audience and features 250 objects from the V&A’s own collection.

    Values of Design is an interactive digital experience and the culmination of the visitor’s journey through the Museum.

By taking a quiz and selecting their favourite objects from the gallery, the interactive gives visitors the chance to reflect on their own design values, ultimately revealing their ideal object from the collection.

  • Personal Design Slogan
Throughout the gallery visitors are exposed to a number of iconic design slogans. 

Visitors are prompted to create their own personal slogan summing up their relationship to design. Their entries are visualised on a large public screen side by side with other visitor's slogans to create a playful animation.

The large screen visualisation uses bold graphic animation to present the data gathered from visitors in an engaging way. 

It features a constantly updated display of the "favourite" objects from the gallery, helping to build a crowdsourced vision of what visitors want from designers and products of tomorrow.

The app was developed the Weixin platform, better known as WeChat, which boasts over 700 million users. 
We Chat uses QR codes to quickly capture and share information, we utilised these bold graphic markers to enable visitors to easily log into their accounts, collect, and instantly share their results and design slogans.

We created an intuitive method of interactivity on both fixed gallery tablets and visitors' own mobile devices.
