CLOSING: Unity 3D Artist (RESET training scheme)

About the Role:

This post is through the RESET paid placement programme which offers 8 months traineeships for new entrants and emergent talent in Animation, Games and VFX related studios. In addition to working at ISO, you will receive personal development and professional training through TRC Media and join a cohort of other trainees.

The role will allow you to create interactive and immersive exhibits as part of our real-time development team. You’ll collaborate with developers, designers, and producers to bring creative concepts to life. This is an excellent position for someone with 1-3 years professional experience who wants to develop their skills in interactive media and exhibit/installation creation.

What You’ll do:

  • Design and build 2D and 3D scenes in Unity
  • Work closely with our real-time design and production teams
  • Optimise assets for interactive experiences and installations
  • Implement 3D models, lighting, textures, materials and visual effects
  • Contribute to prototyping and development of immersive experiences
  • Support the creation of interactive exhibitions and installations
  • Develop your skills to eventually lead standalone interactive projects

What You’ll need:

  • 1-3 years of professional experience in game development or interactive media
  • Proficiency with Unity (essential)
  • Strong 3D art and design skills
  • Experience optimising assets for real-time applications
  • Portfolio demonstrating your contributions to commissioned or independent projects
  • Good understanding of lighting, texturing, and environment design
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a creative team environment

What would be helpful (but isn’t essential):

  • Experience with Unreal Engine
  • Knowledge of Cinema 4D, Blender, or other 3D software
  • Understanding of UI/UX design for interactive experiences
  • Animation and Motion Graphic skills
  • Experience with VR/XR development
  • Familiarity with Gen AI tools like Midjourney or Runway
  • Experience creating exhibits or installations
