CLOSING: Creative Technologist (RESET training scheme)

About the Role:

This post is through the RESET paid placement programme which offers 8 months traineeships for new entrants and emergent talent in Animation, Games and VFX related studios. In addition to working at ISO, you will receive personal development and professional training through TRC Media and join a cohort of other trainees.

This is a great opportunity for someone eager to explore the intersection of AI and real-time creation within a dynamic studio environment.

This role is ideal for a recent graduate in games, animation, interactive media, or computer sciences who has a keen interest in emerging technologies and creative applications. You will work on both research & development initiatives and contribute to live client projects, gaining valuable hands-on experience across various aspects of creative technology.

The role would be a junior/starting position suitable for someone who wishes to pursue a career in creative technology and already has a foundation of skills acquired via study or self-teaching, with an idea of where in the creative technology pipeline they would like to focus.

Tasks could include:

Supporting R&D projects exploring AI tools and applications
Assisting with the development of real-time creation workflows
Contributing to interactive prototypes and experimental concepts
Collaborating with designers and developers on creative technology solutions
Testing and documenting innovative approaches and methodologies

A degree of computer literacy is required and experience with relevant software and tools is desirable. Examples would be:

AI tools: Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, ChatGPT, or similar AI platforms
Real-time engines: Unity, Unreal Engine
Creative coding: Processing, p5.js, TouchDesigner
3D software: Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya

Throughout the 8 months, you will have the opportunity to grow your experience and skills in creative technology, so by the end of the period, you will be developing standalone projects and contributing meaningfully to client work, which will give you loads of options for your next roles in the immersive media teams.

You need to be someone who likes to open new programs and learn how to use them, with a curious mindset and enthusiasm for emerging technologies.
