CLOSING: Studio Planner/Manager (RESET training scheme)

About the role

This post is through the RESET paid placement programme which offers 8 months traineeships for new entrants and emergent talent in Animation, Games and VFX related studios. In addition to working at ISO, you will receive personal development and professional training through TRC Media and join a cohort of other trainees.

This is a great opportunity to gain insight into the operational management of a busy creative studio.

This role is all about supporting the efficient running of projects and studio resources, with a particular focus on staff and freelancer scheduling. Every day could be different as you assist producers with a range of planning and coordination tasks that keep multiple projects on track. You will gain insight into the broad range of projects ISO produce.

Tasks could include:

Managing resource allocation and staff scheduling across multiple projects

Maintaining and updating project management tools and systems

Supporting time tracking, task management, and project reporting

Assisting with studio communications and team coordination

Contributing to studio culture initiatives and internal events

Supporting digital asset management and project documentation

Helping coordinate onboarding and scheduling of interns and freelancers

Helping with credentials decks / pitches and tenders

The role requires a hands-on approach, with a good degree of independent thinking and problem-solving. You should have previous experience in a rigorous project management environment such as games, VFX, TV production, a creative studio, architecture, construction, or similar industries.

A degree of computer literacy is required and experience with project management software is desirable. Examples would be:

Project management tools: Basecamp, Trello, or similar platforms

Resource planning software: Shotgun, NIM, or comparable systems

Communication tools: Slack, Teams, Zoom

Documentation: G-Suite, Adobe Suite

Ai tools: Claude, Chat GPT, Perplexity

Experience in communications, events, social media, or digital asset management would be highly advantageous for this position.

The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, plus a positive enthusiastic attitude and excellent organisational abilities.
